Publish a form

Take your form live and get the public link respondents can open.

Preview vs publish#

Preview shows your current draft so you can test it privately as you build. Publishing takes a live snapshot of the form — that's the version respondents actually see and submit to. Edits you make afterwards stay in the draft until you publish again.

Go live#

Open the form's Share page. A status pill shows whether it's live: "Ready to share" once published, or "Not yet published" before that. Hit Publish in the editor to make it live.

Until a form is published, its link won't serve respondents — the Share page shows the URL but marks it as not yet live.

Every form has a stable public URL like halloform.com/f/your-form-id. The link stays the same across publishes, so anything you've already shared keeps working. Use Copy link to grab it, or Open to view the live form in a new tab.

Want a friendlier URL? See Custom link for a readable slug, or Custom domain to serve the form from your own domain.

Share it#

The Share page's quick-share row posts the link straight to a channel — Twitter / X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or email. For campaign tracking, use the Tracking parameters card to append UTM tags so you can tell which channel drove each response.

Editing after publishing#

Keep editing anytime — changes live in the draft and don't affect respondents until you publish again. Republish to push your latest version live; the public link never changes.
