Stripe payment field

Take a card payment inline — no redirect, payouts land in your Stripe account.

What it does#

The Stripe payment field embeds Stripe's PaymentElement on the form. Respondents enter card details (or pick Apple Pay / Google Pay / Link) and Halloform charges the card before saving the submission — so paid submissions and free submissions never mix.

Settings#

  • Payment type — One time payment, or Pay what you want (respondent types any amount, with an optional default, suggested-amount pills, and min/max).
  • Products — build a list with "Add product". Each product is a Fixed price, a Pay-what-you-want amount, or a reference to a Choice / Storefront field. The respondent pays the total of everything in the list.
  • References — a product's name, price, quantity, or image can pull from another field's answer.
  • Tax — add one or more tax rows (label + percentage) applied to the subtotal.
  • Discount — percentage or fixed-amount rows, triggered always-on, by promo code, or by a condition.
  • Currency — set once at the form level (Form settings → Behaviour), not per field.

Connect your Stripe account#

On the payment block, open the Stripe account picker and click "Connect to Stripe" — you'll be sent to Stripe's OAuth screen. Connect once; afterwards any form can pick that connected account. Payments flow directly to your Stripe account (Stripe Connect); Halloform never holds the funds.

Supported payment methods#

Automatic — Stripe shows the best methods based on the buyer's location and the currency: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, FPX (Malaysia), GrabPay, and more as Stripe expands.

  • Currency — when you want a typed price (not a charge).
